The Effect of Spinal Mobilization With Leg Movement in Patients With Lumbar Radiculopathy

Lumbar Radiculopathy is also referred to as Sciatic Pain. It occurs when the nerves that flow through the spinal cord are compressed upon exited the foramen . This may cause referred pain down the back side of the leg or even wrapping around to the front side of the leg. The common spinal points affected would be L3-L5. When dealing with such pain or sensation, spinal mobilization with leg movement (SMWLM) is proven to open up the space between the vertebrae to allow for decompression of the nerve.
