Terminal Knee Extension Level 2
This exercise combines a TKE with a Patrick Step Up. We love this combo at Elevate because both exercises alone work on the Vastus Medialis Oblique (VMO) muscle so together is just perfect. We use this step up rather than a poliquin (facilitated plantar flexion) or a peterson step up because it allows you to improve ankle range of motion (ROM). The height of the weights that you stand on determines the difficulty of the completion of this. Elevate recommends sticking to a height from 2-6 inches off the floor.
